This nest box is made by Wildlife Windows. It has a small lighting array inside which is controlled by a sensor on the outside. As the light levels drop, so does the lighting inside. This internal illumination means that the picture captured is bright and clear. I tape over the sensor whilst the birds are prospecting.... in my experience they have been put off by the lights at this stage. When they start bringing in materials, I filter the sensor, gradually increasing the light levels in the box.

Last year the blue tits raised 10 chicks successfully in this nest box!
